Tom Olson
I was born and raised in Minnesota, living in several areas throughout my childhood. Duluth, Grand Rapids, Moorhead, Minnetonka, and Richfield.
I now reside in Lakeville, Minnesota with my Wife, two children, and two basset hounds.

I am a 1989 graduate of Richfield High School. During that time I was an avid competitive swimmer. My coach at Richfield(who I think is also a swearbuy) is nearing his retirement, but still training 'em!

All throughout high school I had the desire to do something military, so I began by attending a military junior college with an accelerated R.O.T.C. program. Set in the small southern township of Marion, Alabama, this was quite an experience. It was where I arrived at the conclusion that leaders are not born, they're made. This little college knows how to make them.

The bulk of my career experience centers around a specialized educational experience in Nanotechnology. The result of a consortium's demand for more focused and relevant education, this program does deliver.

I'm a firm believer in that you are never too old to continue your formalized education. My latest quest is as a student at St. Mary's. The degree program is a follow up for the Nanotechnolgy degree previously mentioned. It's a B.S. in Industrial Technology.

I am a huge fan of the hospitality industry as well, having spent 15 years of my life associated with it in one form or another, in various capacities. My favorite has to be as a part-time bartender. I did this for a decade at Joe Senser's in Bloomington on Interstate 494 and France Avenue. I must have worked with literally thousands of people in that time frame. Some of which I still keep in touch with today.
I'll most likely expand on this in the future, but suffice to say for now that Joe's had a significant impact on my life as I know it today. Besides, it has the best damn buffalo wings I've ever had the pleasure of eating. So if you're ever in the Twin Cities area, "Eat at Joe's." No pun intended.
